1. Who operates Mellow Pieces

2. Local play and favorites
You can play without an account or email address. Puzzle progress, preferences and your draft nickname and preset avatar are kept on your device. Finishing a puzzle does not automatically add it to Favorites. When you tap the heart, the app copies the artwork and its title into a local favorites directory. Favorite images and favorite selections are not uploaded to our servers or included in World Board submissions. The favorites directory is excluded from system cloud backup; the app does not provide favorites synchronization or recovery after removal of the app. Other device backups are controlled by Apple and your device settings.
3. Theme downloads and service requests
The app requests theme catalogs and artwork from Cloudflare infrastructure. Technical information such as IP address, request time and request details may be processed to deliver resources, limit abuse and maintain the service. Theme artwork already hosted by us is a shared game resource; saving a favorite creates a local copy and does not upload a new image. The app does not request your camera, contacts or location.
4. Optional World Board
Only if you choose Join world board, we create a random device player identifier and credential and store your nickname, preset avatar choice, completed level identifiers, first-completion times and move sequences used to validate scores. Credentials are stored in the device Keychain and hashed on the server. Your nickname, preset avatar, rank and aggregate score are public on the board. This is a device profile, not an email account or cross-device backup. Do not include private information in a public nickname. We do not upload your favorite selections or personal photo library.
5. Deletion and retention
You can remove individual favorites locally. Settings → Leave world board → Leave and delete removes your public profile and scores from the active leaderboard database; local progress and favorites remain. Abuse reports may be retained for moderation and security. If a technical or legal record must be kept, it is limited to that purpose. Service logs are kept under the operational retention settings of our hosting providers; website Nginx access logs rotate daily with ten rotated log files, while infrastructure security processing may follow provider settings. Contact us if you cannot use the deletion control. Uninstalling the app removes its local favorites. Photo-library copies you saved must be deleted in Photos separately.
6. Saving to Photos
Save to Photos requests add-only photo-library permission only when you tap it. This allows the app to add the selected artwork; it does not read your personal photo library. You can change access in iOS Settings. Photos may synchronize through your own Apple iCloud Photos settings, independently of this app and our servers.
7. Website, support and third parties
Our Mellow Pieces legal and support pages do not load analytics or advertising scripts. Our web host and Cloudflare still process ordinary network requests and security information. When you email support, we use the information you choose to send to respond and keep correspondence as necessary for that request and applicable obligations. Email is handled by your and our email providers. Do not attach passwords or private photos. Apple processes platform services under its own policies. We do not add advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics SDKs or cross-app advertising tracking to this release.
8. International processing, children and changes
Online services may process information in countries where our infrastructure providers operate. We use service providers to deliver and secure the app, do not sell player data, and do not use it for targeted advertising. This game is not specifically directed to children; public leaderboard nicknames require appropriate care. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child's information.
