Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for Snap by Snap (formerly Daymark). Updated October 26, 2026.
Snap by Snap is a private photo journal. Photos you take or choose are processed and stored on your device.
Information the app handles
The app handles photos you take or choose, the time you add them, and the angle you select. It creates a thumbnail for each photo to display in your calendar.
On-device storage
Photos, thumbnails, and entries stay in the app's storage on your device. They aren't uploaded to the developer or a server. The app has no accounts, ads, third-party analytics, or profiling SDKs. It doesn't collect your contacts, precise location, device identifiers, or activity across other apps.
Camera and photo access
The camera is used when you choose to take a photo. The system photo picker only gives the app access to photos you select. You can decline access without giving the app access to the rest of your photo library.
Reminders
Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device, without a server. You can turn them off or change the time in Settings. Declining notification permission doesn't affect other features.
Storage and deletion
Each day has space for one photo per angle. Taking and confirming another photo replaces that day's photo for the same angle. You can delete a photo, or remove all photos and entries in Settings. Deletion can't be undone. Deleting the app also removes its local photos and entries.
Sharing with third parties
The app doesn't sell or share your photos, entries, or personal information with third parties.
Purchases
Apple processes in-app purchases. The app uses StoreKit to verify your Compare in-app purchase entitlement. The developer does not receive your card details or upload your photos for purchase verification. Apple's services operate under Apple's privacy policy.
Children's privacy
The app doesn't actively collect personal information from people of any age. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent us personal information by another means, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
If a future version adds online features, AI analysis, or other ways of handling data, we'll update this policy and request permission again where required by law or the operating system.
