1. Product and use
The current BabyBook trial is provided by 长沙向翎科技有限公司 for selected classics, character cards, system pronunciation and local vocabulary records. Review the feature and privacy information before use. Minors should use it with appropriate guardian guidance, and decisions legally requiring a guardian must be made by that guardian.
The trial has no accounts, in-app purchases, subscriptions or advertising. These terms do not authorize future charges or network processing. When obtained through Apple channels, the applicable Apple end user license terms also govern the license: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ .
2. Reading and pronunciation
Content assists reading and character learning; it is not an assessment or a guarantee of educational results. Classics can have edition, character-form and textual variants. Pinyin and system pronunciation may misread polyphonic or historical characters; check context and reliable references. Saving, removing, viewing or playing a character does not mean that the app has assessed a child's mastery.
Illustrations provide a traditional-painting atmosphere and do not necessarily depict each passage line by line. Adjust type size, pinyin and background intensity, and read and rest at your own pace.
3. Content, images and licenses
Historic original texts and modern editions, annotations, translations, fonts, images and software have different rights. The age of an original text does not grant commercial permission for all associated material. App illustrations and the icon include AI-assisted artwork; the app provides artwork for personal reading and does not grant a commercial image-library license.
LXGW WenKai is subject to the SIL Open Font License 1.1 retained in the app. Some original-text selection references the chinese-poetry project, whose MIT license is also retained. Third-party license terms control their covered components. For a suspected text, image or other rights issue, send the passage and relevant rights information to our support address.
4. Local records and reasonable use
Reading positions, vocabulary and preferences are stored locally. We do not currently promise cross-device synchronization or cloud restoration. Deleting the app or a device failure may cause loss; system backups follow their own settings. Do not use the app unlawfully, infringe others' rights or interfere with services. These restrictions do not override uses permitted by law or open-source licenses.
5. Changes and responsibility
Passages, pinyin, artwork and interfaces may change during the trial. We reasonably maintain available features and address feedback. Mandatory consumer, data-protection and other rights and responsibilities are not excluded by these terms. We update the date when terms change; new data purposes or charges require appropriate notices and authorization.
